OK so I am here for ALL the grammar jokes! But I also have a question: when it's not a dangler, when it's done correctly ("Set in a desolate hillside, the play tells the story of")--what's the term for the first phrase in that kind of sentence structure? Is it a modifying phrase? Phrasal modifier? Because I hate them, and I would like to have more specific language about this very particular thing I hate.
