Tomorrow (that would be Monday the 6th of October) is the kickoff to my StoryStudio Chicago intensive A Copy Editor’s Guide: Four Lessons on the Art, Craft, and Refinement of Prose.

I know that everyone likes to procrastinate about these things, but if you procrastinate much longer you’ll be postcrastinating!

1. One copyediting note for the day: Accent marks on capital letters in French are often but not always dropped. I tend to drop them—mostly because I think that they never look quite right—but had I done that just now I’d’ve had no good reason to include this footnote.
